- Sequels "First Shift: Vengeance" and "First Shift: Redemption" now in production
- Starring Gino Anthony Pesi and Kristen Renton as NYPD partners

Two years ago, in 2024, the crime drama "First Shift" starring Gino Anthony Pesi and Kristen Renton as newly partnered NYPD officers became a surprise hit on Paramount+. The low-budget buddy cop movie debuted at #2 on the streaming platform and remained in the top 10 for over 20 weeks, exceeding expectations.
Now, director Uwe Boll has decided to expand the "First Shift" franchise, greenlighting two sequels titled "First Shift: Vengeance" and "First Shift: Redemption." Boll, who directed the original film, will helm the new installments as well, with Pesi joining him on screenwriting duties and executive producing. The sequels will see the return of Pesi and Renton, along with other cast members from the first film, as well as some new additions.
Boll and his long-time production partner Michael Roesch are producing the two new movies on spec, aiming to capitalize on the strong fan response to the original "First Shift." They believe the franchise has the potential to become a successful series, filling a void for the classic buddy cop genre that audiences have been craving.
