22 Mar
Summary
- The film has only recovered 26% of its $2.3 million breakeven target.
- Opening weekend collections were a mere $595K against projections.
- Poor promotions and negative word-of-mouth led to the underperformance.

Pawan Kalyan's latest film, 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh,' has become a substantial financial disappointment at the North American box office. Despite its reliance on Pawan Kalyan's star power, the movie failed to sustain audience interest beyond the opening day. Premieres and the first two days of release generated a mere $595K.
With a breakeven requirement of $2.3 million, the film has currently recovered only 26% of this amount. Projections indicate a lifetime collection of approximately $800K, marking it as a significant loss for distributors. The underperformance is attributed to weak promotional content and unfavorable word-of-mouth.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the Tollywood action drama also features Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna. The film, reportedly made on a budget of 150 crore, marks a significant setback for Pawan Kalyan, especially when compared to the success of his previous film, 'OG.'
