Rom-Com Sequel 'Upgraded 2' Films in Venice

Shooting for "Upgraded 2" has commenced in Venice, with cameras rolling on October 21st. Camila Mendes returns as Ana Santos in this sequel to the 2024 rom-com "Upgraded." The plot now centers on Ana's pursuit of making her mark at the Venice Biennale, an esteemed contemporary art exhibition.

Director Becca Gleason is capturing scenes at iconic Venetian locations, including the Biennale headquarters and Palazzo Franchetti. Following a 12-day shoot in Venice, the production is set to move to Rome for an additional 33 days of filming, as reported by Italy for Movies. The film will feature an Italian production designer and an executive producer from Colorado Film.
