Director Vikraman has unveiled an unseen song, 'Ootyku Poo Ethukku,' from the original 25-year-old filming of 'Unnai Ninaithu.' This project initially featured Vijay before Suriya took over the lead role. The filmmaker noted that the original high-quality audio and video masters for this song are no longer available, presenting the best preserved version for viewers.
The song, sung by Tippu with music by Sirpy and lyrics by N.A. Muthukumar, showcases a youthful Vijay. Vikraman explained that neither he, the producer, nor the composer possess the original soundtrack or negatives, making high-quality restoration impossible. He shared this footage following fan requests, preserving a forgotten chapter of cinema history.
'Unnai Ninaithu' remains a significant project in Vijay's career, known for his departure over creative differences. The film was later released with Suriya in the lead and became a notable romantic drama. Every newly released clip featuring Vijay from this unfinished version is a treasured find for his fans.
