16 Aug
Summary
- Unmadham film earned 4.52 crore worldwide gross.
- The film budget was estimated between 3-6 crore.
- This marks Kunchacko Boban's second box office failure in 2026.
The Malayalam film Unmadham, starring Kunchacko Boban, has ended its theatrical run with a worldwide gross of 4.52 crore. Released on July 31, the psychological thriller failed to recoup its estimated production budget of 3-6 crore.
The film opened to 0.7 crore and concluded its first week with 3.43 crore net in India. However, it faced significant competition from other releases, including Vismaya Mohanlal's Thudakkam, causing it to lose screens and audience interest.
In its second week, Unmadham collected less than 50 lakh. The movie's final Indian net collection stood at 3.83 crore, translating to a gross of 4.52 crore. With no overseas earnings, the worldwide gross remained at 4.52 crore.
This box office outcome signifies Kunchacko Boban's second solo film flop of 2026, with his earlier release, Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil, also failing to meet expectations.
