SNL Stars Join Universal Basic Guys Season 3

Fox's animated series "Universal Basic Guys" is gearing up for its third season with an impressive lineup of guest stars. "Saturday Night Live" alums Jay Pharoah and Cheri Oteri, as well as "Workaholics" star Adam Devine, are among the notable additions. The announcement was made at the SCAD Animation Fest in Atlanta, where creators Adam and Craig Malamut also screened the season premiere episode titled "Rhoda."

Pharoah will voice "Hugh Truckner," Oteri will be "Renee," and Devine takes on the role of "Chase Waters." The season also features guest appearances from Thomas Lennon, Brandon Wardell, David Alan Grier, Joe Lo Truglio, and William Stanford Davis. These additions are expected to bring fresh energy and humor to the series.

The critically acclaimed show, produced by Sony Pictures TV and Fox Entertainment, centers on brothers Mark and Hank Hoagies, who navigate life with a $3,000 monthly basic income after automation renders them jobless. This season, their lives are further complicated by the arrival of a new family member, promising a chaotic chapter.

Season 3 of "Universal Basic Guys" is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, September 27, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. Episodes will be available for streaming on Hulu the following day. The series stars Adam Malamut and Craig Malamut as the Hoagie brothers, with Talia Genevieve as Tammy Hoagies, Ally Maki as Andrea, and Fred Armisen as David.
