The Unforgettable Awards in Beverly Hills recently celebrated achievements in film and television, honoring artists of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. The acclaimed film "Kpop Demon Hunters" was presented with the Vanguard Award, with cast members Arden Cho and Ji-young Yoo discussing its exploration of cultural pressures and identity.
Director Chloé Zhao was recognized with the Global Icon Award, a tribute to her impactful storytelling. She expressed pride in her Chinese heritage and the importance of creativity. Meanwhile, Bowen Yang received the actor in film award for his performance in "The Wedding Banquet," acknowledging the increasing representation for API artists in the entertainment industry.
