'Traces' Doc Battles Silence, Seeks Justice at Oscars

"Traces" previously earned the Panorama Audience Award at the Berlin Film Festival, marking a significant achievement. Director Alisa Kovalenko stated that representing Ukraine at the Oscars offers a crucial platform to break silence, build solidarity, and combat impunity. The shortlist for Oscar nominations is expected on December 15, with final selections on January 21, and the 99th Academy Awards ceremony scheduled for March 14.
