Tyrese Gibson Fights Ex for Custody Amidst Move

Actor Tyrese Gibson has filed for primary custody of his 7-year-old daughter, Soraya, following her relocation by his ex-wife, Samantha Gibson. Samantha moved Soraya from Georgia to Oregon, a distance of 2,500 miles, despite Tyrese's objections. The move occurred shortly after the ex-couple finalized a new child support agreement.

Tyrese argues that Soraya needs stability in Atlanta, where her father and older sister, Shayla, reside. He expressed distress over the potential separation from his daughters and highlighted his recent personal losses, emphasizing Soraya's importance to him. Tyrese stated that Samantha's move was not discussed in detail during prior discussions.

Samantha, however, contends she notified Tyrese of her plans and provided school options, asserting his consent was not legally required for the relocation. She also alleged that Tyrese did not fully utilize his parenting time and frequently delegated childcare duties to a nanny.
