Summary
- Tyrese says his 2002 hit song was inspired by Kim Kardashian.
- He claims he witnessed Kardashian's affair while living with her.
- The affair allegedly occurred during her marriage to Damon Thomas.
R&B artist Tyrese recently shared a surprising claim about the inspiration behind his popular 2002 song, "How You Gonna Act Like That." Tyrese stated in an interview that he lived with Kim Kardashian and her then-husband, Damon Thomas, for three years while producing his album. During this time, Tyrese alleges he was present for events surrounding Kardashian's alleged affair, including a period involving Ray J.
According to Tyrese, the song's title and theme stemmed from his confusion about Kardashian's actions while she was married to Thomas. Kardashian and Thomas filed for divorce in 2003. Reports from the time and later interviews with Thomas suggest that Kardashian engaged in infidelity during their marriage. The infamous sex tape involving Kardashian and Ray J was reportedly filmed around 2003 and released in 2007.
