The lawsuit specifically addresses claims that she exploited a contestant's sexual assault, a portrayal Banks disputes, stating she was unaware of the full context of the incident.

In her legal filing, Banks asserts her entitlement to access unedited interview footage. This request extends not only to her own interview but also to those of her former co-stars, including Jay Manuel and Jay Alexander, also known as Miss J. Banks highlights her close relationship with Miss J, noting that the documentary suggested a health-related distance and lack of contact between them. The suit aims to rectify perceived harm to her reputation caused by the documentary's content.
