14 Oct
Summary
- Tyler Perry's legal team argues accuser Derek Dixon's claims are "false and fabricated"
- Dixon alleges Perry created a "sexually exploitative dynamic" and assaulted him
- Perry's team says lawsuit is about Dixon's "greed and avarice, not harassment or abuse"

In a legal battle that has unfolded over the past year, Tyler Perry is vehemently denying a $260 million sexual assault lawsuit filed by actor Derek Dixon. According to court documents obtained in October 2025, Perry's legal team has argued that Dixon's claims are "profoundly disappointing, cynical, and -- most of all -- false."
Dixon had accused Perry of quid pro quo sexual harassment, sexual battery, sexual assault, and other charges, alleging that the filmmaker created a "coercive, sexually exploitative dynamic" between them. However, Perry's team claims that Dixon "invents alleged assaults and encounters that never happened" and that "Mr. Perry never assaulted Dixon or committed any sexual battery."
