Kicked Off Tour, Twin Temple's Star Rises on TV

The musical duo Twin Temple recently made a notable late-night television debut on The Daily Show, performing their song "Haunt Me." This appearance comes after they were removed from a country music tour due to their use of "satanic imagery," an event that unexpectedly propelled them into the public eye.

During their appearance, the husband-and-wife team discussed their music, which they describe as "Satanic doo-wop." The singer expressed a sentiment that it was "time for maybe a little more Satanic Panic," embracing the controversy. Their visibility has led to an invitation from Jack White to open for him at the Hollywood Palladium on September 29.

Twin Temple's artistic philosophy centers on Satan as a metaphor for challenging societal norms and questioning the status quo. The singer elaborated on this, viewing Satan as a symbol of rebellion and self-advocacy, resonating with her own experiences as an outsider. This perspective informs their art, which utilizes imagery that has always held significance for them.
