An Australian romantic comedy titled "Twice Over" is set to captivate audiences, starring Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Heaton. Directed by Alena Lodkina, the film delves into the complexities of a reunion that stirs dormant emotions and prompts reflections on life's journey and personal reinvention.
The production, filmed in the port city of Fremantle, Australia, is currently undergoing post-production in Poland. Sales for "Twice Over" will commence next month at the European Film Market, with Athens-based sales outfit Heretic handling the presales. The script was co-written by Lodkina and Miles Allinson, with production by Never/Sleep Pictures, WBMC, and Mid-March Media.
Director Alena Lodkina expressed her delight in working with the lead actors, describing their performances as full of discovery. Heretic's Head of Sales, Ioanna Stais, highlighted the combination of Lodkina's distinctive directorial style with the star power of Wasikowska and Heaton. The project received significant investment from Screen Australia, Screenwest, and Lotterywest.
