Award-winning props and clothing from the TV show 'A League of Their Own' have found a new purpose supporting animal and homelessness charities across the UK. The sport-based panel show, which concluded in 2025 after 15 years, saw Sky donate various items following its finale.
Two Oxfordshire charities, the Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary and The Porch Oxford, were among 38 organizations to benefit. The Porch received clothing and footwear, while the animal sanctuary utilized TV set materials like astro turf and lino flooring to create new dog training and exercise areas.
Sky's sustainability chief, Fiona Ball, stated that it was fitting for the props to bring joy in new ways. Over 5,600 items from the show have been donated, demonstrating how a show's legacy can continue beyond its final broadcast.
