Television Academy chair Cris Abrego has appointed five new members to the organization's executive committee. The new appointees include three-time Emmy winner Uzo Aduba, Apple TV's Matt Cherniss, Netflix's Jinny Howe, Disney/ABC's Debra OConnell, and Fox Entertainment's Rob Wade.
This executive committee is tasked with advising Abrego and the TV Academy Board of Governors on significant industry matters and charting the organization's future course. Abrego emphasized that the upcoming period is pivotal for both the Academy and the broader television industry.
Additional members elected for the 2026 term include governors for producers, production executives, public relations, and foundation chair. Special elections also filled vacant seats on the board of governors for professional representatives and documentary programming peer groups.
