Tupelo Ballet's Nutcracker: A Holiday Tradition Reimagined

Tupelo Ballet is preparing to present its 43rd annual rendition of "The Nutcracker," a cherished holiday tradition in the community. This year's production is particularly special as it marks the debut of new artistic director Brooke Desnoes, who has introduced fresh choreography to the classic Tchaikovsky ballet.

Desnoes, who previously directed the largest private ballet school in Europe, emphasizes that "dance is for everyone." Her vision for "The Nutcracker" promises a traditional story with surprising new elements, ensuring a unique experience for attendees. The production will showcase the talents of nearly 200 performers, including around 70 company members and at least 50 from recent community auditions.
