Summary
- TRNSMT festival in Glasgow Green begins earlier than usual this year.
- Headliners include Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian, and Lewis Capaldi.
- The Scotland World Cup match will be shown on the main stage after a performance.

TRNSMT, Scotland's largest music festival, has commenced earlier than usual at Glasgow Green, running from June 19-21. This adjustment aims to enhance the fan experience while navigating external events.
Headlining the three-day event are Richard Ashcroft on Friday, Leicester band Kasabian on Saturday, and Bathgate singer Lewis Capaldi on Sunday. Their performances, alongside numerous other acts spanning various genres, will be broadcast on BBC television, radio, iPlayer, and BBC Sounds.
A significant change this year involves the integration of the Scotland World Cup match against Morocco. Set times on Friday have been moved up to accommodate the game, which will be shown on the main stage after Richard Ashcroft's set concludes. This decision, aimed at creating a shared experience for fans, received a temporary license despite some local community council objections concerning extended noise levels and curfew.
Festival organizers have confirmed five stages: the Main Stage, King Tut's Stage, BBC Introducing stage, Boogie Stage, and The Hangout. Ticketing saw a discount offered, though these sold out quickly. Weather forecasts predict cooler temperatures around 18C with light rain and a breeze across the weekend.
This marks the ninth installment of TRNSMT, which began in 2017 and is considered the successor to T in the Park. Unlike its predecessor, TRNSMT is an urban festival with no camping. Despite its popularity, the festival has faced criticism regarding the lack of female headliners and the repeated booking of certain acts.
