Henderson, renowned for viral characters Siren Head and Cartoon Cat, will serve as a producer and contribute to the writing. This move capitalizes on Hollywood's increasing interest in digitally native intellectual property, following successes like "Backrooms." Henderson's other creations, Siren Head and Cartoon Cat, are also slated for film adaptations by Warner Bros. and TriStar Pictures, respectively.
Cineverse, the genre studio behind films such as "Terrifier 3," is partnering with Henderson for this project. The deal was negotiated by Macias and Cineverse VP Steven Peros.
