The exclusive signing was facilitated through a partnership with 11 Music Group LLC. TDE founder and CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith emphasized that Dickey's genuine life experiences and authenticity are precisely the qualities TDE values.
Dickey, who began his musical journey at 21 after a life-altering shooting incident, expressed his enthusiasm for the TDE deal. He likened joining the label to becoming part of legendary sports teams such as the Golden State Warriors or the Lakers, anticipating a "winning season." This signing arrives on the heels of a significant year for the artist, featuring a viral appearance on Kai Cenat's livestream, a standout "On the Radar" freestyle, and the January release of his single "Down South" with Key Glock.
His breakthrough came with the 2023 song "Blue Devils" and its remix featuring DaBaby. He has since released other notable tracks, including "Yeah Yeah" with Boosie Badazz and "No Love" featuring BigXthaPlug.
