Reggie Dinkins Premiere Shatters Comedy Records

The debut of Tracy Morgan's new comedy series, "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins," achieved significant viewership success for NBC following an NFL playoff game. The pilot episode garnered 5.8 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in the key adult 18-49 demographic, making it the most-watched broadcast comedy of the season.

This strong performance also represents NBC's most successful comedy series premiere in three years, since "Night Court" debuted in January 2023. Although the pilot aired early after the Los Angeles Rams vs. Chicago Bears game, new episodes will officially begin on Monday, February 23, 2026.

NBC will air an encore of the pilot episode at 8 p.m. on February 23, followed by a new episode at 8:30 p.m., its regular timeslot. Beginning the week of March 2, the series will continue in the 8:30 p.m. slot on Mondays, with new episodes available for streaming the next day on Peacock.

"The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins" centers on a disgraced former football star, Reggie Dinkins, portrayed by Morgan, who seeks to rebuild his public image with the assistance of filmmaker Arthur Tobin, played by Daniel Radcliffe. The ensemble cast also includes Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall. The series is executive produced by Robert Carlock, Sam Means, Tina Fey, and Tracy Morgan, among others.
