Tracker Shakes Up Cast: Shocking Exits and Uncertain Future

As Tracker prepares to premiere its third season on October 19, 2025, the show is facing a significant cast overhaul. In an exclusive interview, executive producer Elwood Reid has defended the decision to write out popular characters like Velma (Abby McEnany) and Bobby (Eric Graise) from the series.

Reid explains that the challenge for season 3 has been to build more substantial storylines around the show's lead, Justin Colter (played by Justin Hartley), without relying too heavily on the supporting cast. "Justin has to carry so much of the show. So I don't want the other characters that are in the show to just be phone-a-friend where whenever he's in trouble, he just picks up the phone," Reid said.

While Velma and Bobby have departed, the producer assures viewers that other characters like Reenie (Fiona Rene) and Randy (Chris Lee) will be given more focus and development. Reenie, in particular, will be dealing with the fallout from her season 2 case, and she has brought Randy along to help her. The show also plans to introduce a new character as Reenie looks to expand her law office.

Reid acknowledges that the cast changes have elicited mixed reactions from fans, but he emphasizes that the goal is to grow the show's characters in a meaningful way. "If I'm asking you to spend an hour of your life with this show, I do think you need to get some emotion and some connection to these characters. Part of that is making them three-dimensional characters that exist outside of helping Colter again," he explained.

As Tracker enters its third season, viewers can expect to see the show's ensemble cast evolve and take on more prominent roles, even as the series' lead, Justin Colter, continues to tackle the dark and heavy cases that have defined the show.
