The fourth international book festival, held in T'puram from January 7th to Tuesday, has been declared a resounding success, attracting over two lakh visitors. The event, organized by the Kerala legislative assembly, was lauded for its excellent public and media participation, alongside efficient staff organization.
A total of 407 events spanned various segments, including KLIBF Talks, Meet the Author sessions, and book launches, featuring 173 national and international literary figures. The festival also hosted 282 book stalls for 170 publishers and utilized digital platforms for extensive promotion.
Attractions included vibrant Theyyam performances and a special venue dedicated to actor Sreenivasan. The festival also highlighted assistive equipment for the visually impaired and offered traditional culinary experiences across 16 food courts, with a dedicated Students' Corner engaging young talents.
