Yash's film "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups," released on August 26, is now embroiled in a dispute over critical online reviews. YouTubers and influencers who posted negative feedback have reportedly received legal notices, sparking discussions about filmmakers' rights to control content. The production team had previously obtained an ex-parte interim injunction from a Bengaluru court on August 22. This order restrains the publication or circulation of any false or defamatory material concerning the film, remaining effective until the next hearing on September 28.

Aiplex Software Private Limited, a Bengaluru-based firm, has been authorized by the producers to manage online content issues. This includes issuing legal and takedown notices to intermediaries and social media platforms. YouTuber Suraj Kumar and Tamil influencer Prashanth Rangaswamy are among those who have publicly shared receiving such notices. The film itself has garnered largely negative responses from critics and audiences, with its box office collections reportedly dipping significantly in its second day. Despite the legal communications, the reviews remain accessible online as of the report's date.
