Toxic Box Office Flop: Hindi Dub Underwhelms
7 Sep
Summary
- Toxic Hindi dub earned under 145 crore in its initial 12 days.
- The film's collections significantly dropped after a strong opening.
- Toxic ranks as the 10th highest-grossing South Indian film in Hindi.
The Hindi-dubbed release of the film Toxic has failed to meet expectations at the Indian box office, garnering under 145 crore after 12 days.
The movie experienced a sharp decline in collections after its initial strong performance. The Hindi version, in particular, has shown underwhelming numbers. After opening with over 50 crore, the film is now projected to conclude its theatrical run with less than 150 crore net.
During its second weekend, the film's daily earnings fell below the 1 crore mark. It collected 85 lakh on its tenth day, followed by 90 lakh on the eleventh, and 85 lakh on the twelfth day, summing up to 2.6 crore for the weekend. This brings the total net collection for the Hindi version to 142.95 crore.
With its current earnings, Toxic (Hindi) is positioned as the 10th highest-grossing South Indian film in the Hindi market. It is unlikely to surpass Saaho's 149 crore to reach the ninth spot, as it requires an additional 6.05 crore, which seems improbable given its current trend.
