The live-action adaptation of the popular anime series "One Piece" is gearing up to introduce two new colossal characters in Season 2 - the giant warrior captains Brogy and Dorry. As the Straw Hat crew led by Monkey D. Luffy finally sets sail into the dangerous Grand Line, they will come face-to-face with these towering figures from the manga and anime's Little Garden arc.
Brogy and Dorry, the captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, were once best friends who had been feuding for years over the size of a fish. It is only after the Straw Hats arrive on the island that the two giants make amends. The two characters will now be brought to life through impressive CGI, showcasing Netflix's commitment to the "One Piece" adaptation.
Actor Jacob Romero Gibson, who portrays the cowardly Usopp, shares that working with these giant characters posed unique technical challenges. "It was definitely a challenging feat to still create dynamic scenes while acting to the sky," he said, adding that the production team found "unbelievably skilled ways to tackle and ground the world" for the performers.
As the Straw Hat crew continues their perilous journey, fans can expect to see more of Brogy and Dorry in the upcoming episodes of "One Piece" Season 2, which is slated to premiere in 2026.
