The estate of D'Wayne Wiggins, a member of the iconic group Tony! Toni! Toné!, is currently embroiled in a significant legal dispute among family members. A judge has imposed a temporary prohibition on the distribution of funds from both the singer's estate and trust to any third parties. This includes barring any donations to his foundation, scholarships, or other grants.

Veleta Savannah, who identifies as D'Wayne's cousin and claims to be overseeing his trust and estate, is pushing back against the restrictions. She asserts that a doctor evaluated D'Wayne before his passing and found him alert and fully capable of managing his affairs or directing others. Savannah contends that the singer executed a new will and trust the day after this evaluation.

However, other family members, notably D'Wayne's daughter Ilahn Wiggins, have voiced strong objections. Ilahn claims her father's estate is valued at approximately $700K and that Savannah informed the family she was the trustee post-death. The daughter and other relatives believe D'Wayne was heavily medicated at the time of signing the new documents, rendering him unable to make binding decisions. Savannah denies these claims, stating the doctor's evaluation supports her account and that D'Wayne intended for her to control the estate, choosing to exclude his children from his will. D'Wayne Wiggins passed away on March 7, 2025, in Oakland, California, following an extended battle with cancer.
