Bancroft is scheduled to lead an in-person workshop titled 'Visual Storytelling: Think Like an Artist, Tell Like a Director.' He will also present a masterclass discussing 'Animation with a Legacy,' focusing on his contributions to unforgettable films.
As an executive producer, Bancroft will also present the acclaimed animated short 'The Piano' during the festival's opening night. His extensive career spans over three decades, including significant roles at Walt Disney Animation Studios and collaborations with other major animation companies.
Bancroft's notable contributions include character creation for 'The Lion King,' 'Aladdin,' and 'Beauty and the Beast.' He also has credits on films such as 'Mary Poppins Returns' and Disney's centenary short 'Once Upon a Studio.' He currently directs animation programs at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.
