In 2025, comedian Tom Segura continues to make waves in the entertainment industry. His latest project, the dark sketch series "Bad Thoughts," has earned him his first Emmy nomination this year. Segura launched the show independently, self-financing a pilot before establishing it at Netflix, where he serves as the creator, writer, director, and executive producer.
Segura's relationship with Netflix has been instrumental in his career trajectory. Prior to his first special with the platform, "Completely Normal," which began circulating in 2015, Segura had released two albums - "Thrilled" in 2010 and "White Girls with Cornrows" in 2012. However, it was after "Completely Normal" that his career truly exploded. Segura has remained in business with Netflix ever since, with the platform also serving as the home for "Bad Thoughts," which will debut its second season in 2026.
Alongside his wife, Christina Pazsitzky, Segura continues to be involved with their production company, YMH Studios, and appears on its popular podcasts, including "Your Mom's House" and "2 Bears 1 Cave." He is also set to make his feature film debut with the R-rated comedy "El Tigre," which wrapped production earlier this year.
