The film marks Cruise's first non-franchise project since 2017's "American Made," directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu.
Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, "Digger" is characterized as a wild comedy of catastrophic proportions. Both Cruise and Iñárritu promoted the film at CinemaCon, with Cruise expressing it took him 40 years to embody the character.
