Tom Cruise Eyes Space: Mission Possible?

Tom Cruise, renowned for performing his own stunts, has expressed a desire to film a movie in outer space. This ambition has garnered attention, with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson having reportedly discussed the possibility with NASA leadership. While filming in zero gravity has previously been accomplished using specialized aircraft, Cruise's vision is to shoot scenes in actual space.

This endeavor is not entirely unprecedented, as the Russian film 'The Challenge' incorporated sequences filmed aboard the International Space Station in 2021. However, only a portion of that film's runtime was set in space.

The current status of Cruise's space movie project remains unclear, with no recent updates available. He is currently involved in other film projects, and it is uncertain when he might pursue his extraterrestrial cinematic ambitions. Nevertheless, given Cruise's track record, many anticipate that if he is set on making a space movie, it will eventually come to fruition.
