Todd Chrisley has shared his candid thoughts on his daughter Savannah's recent engagement to Jason Galanis, addressing the significant 20-year age difference between them. During an appearance on Bunnie Xo's Dumb Blonde podcast, Todd confessed that the age gap was initially a point of contention for him and his wife, Julie.
He explained that his love for Savannah ultimately outweighed his concerns. "It was either embrace my daughter's decision or lose my daughter," Todd stated, emphasizing his unwavering support for her. Despite his initial hesitation, Todd acknowledged that Galanis has shown Savannah "the utmost of respect" and has been there for her.
The Chrisley Knows Best star also touched upon Galanis's past, noting that he had faced a "very difficult time" and had been divorced for many years. Todd recalled asking Galanis if he understood that Savannah might not be his only love, to which Galanis responded that it would be his "job" to ensure she never forgot him.
Savannah's fiancé, Jason Galanis, has a notable history, having been sentenced in September 2020 to 189 months in prison for multiple securities fraud schemes. His sentence was commuted in March 2025. Galanis also has past associations with Hunter Biden and was involved in business with Devon Archer. He testified in the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden in March 2024 while still incarcerated.
