Meteorologist's Golf Mishap Hits Cameraman on Live TV

On November 17th, 2025, Today show meteorologist Dylan Dreyer found herself in an unexpected situation during a live segment. Dreyer, an avid golfer, was demonstrating her skills as part of a profile on the Dufferettes of New Jersey golf club when the incident occurred.

As Dreyer was squaring up for a shot, she jokingly remarked, "My balls have been known to go in weird directions." Moments later, her prediction came true as the golf ball struck the cameraman, prompting a loud "Ow!" cry from the background. Dreyer, visibly shocked, rushed to check on the injured cameraman, who was later identified as a longtime NBC photographer named Kellan.

Despite the accident, Kellan continued filming the segment, laughing off the incident. Dreyer's co-hosts, Sheinelle Jones and Al Roker, also commented on the situation, with Roker quipping that Kellan was "lucky" the ball didn't hit him in a more serious area.
