On November 1st, 2025, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) hosted its annual Art + Film Gala, bringing together a star-studded lineup of luminaries from the worlds of film, television, music, and art. The event, now in its 14th consecutive year, honored acclaimed artist Mary Corse, whose work has explored the themes of light, perception, and subjectivity over the past six decades.
Also recognized at the gala was Sinners and Fruitvale Station filmmaker Ryan Coogler, who attended the event alongside his producer and wife, Zinzi Coogler. The Gucci-sponsored event was co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and renowned actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
Proceeds from the annual gala support LACMA's initiative to make film a more central part of the museum's curatorial programming, while also providing funding for exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational initiatives, as well as allowing for screenings that explore the intersection of art and film. Past honorees of the Art + Film Gala have included a diverse array of artists and filmmakers, from Helen Pashgian and Catherine Opie to David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino.
