Olyphant Pitches Bob Sweeney Sitcom

Timothy Olyphant, who starred in the critically acclaimed crime drama "Justified," has publicly expressed his long-held desire to see a spin-off of the series. He specifically suggested a half-hour comedy featuring Patton Oswalt's character, Bob Sweeney.

Olyphant recalled that he and the cast of "Justified" often discussed the potential for a spin-off titled "Constable Bob." He felt that Oswalt's portrayal of the Harlan County constable, who frequently injected humor into the neo-Western series, made him an ideal candidate to lead a comedic series within the established universe.

While the idea of a sitcom emerging from a gritty crime drama might seem unconventional, Olyphant's endorsement and the character's established comedic appeal suggest a potential audience exists for such a venture. Some fans have also expressed openness to the concept.
