Summary
- Chalamet debuted a strange promo video for his upcoming film 'Marty Supreme'
- Video features people with ping pong ball heads playing table tennis
- Chalamet emerges from a plastic box and announces the film's 2025 release

Just a day after the surprise premiere of his upcoming film 'Marty Supreme' at the New York Film Festival, actor Timothée Chalamet has debuted a chaotic promotional video for the project. The strange clip, released on Chalamet's social media pages, is set to a thumping electronic score that samples a monologue from the 2001 film 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'.
In the video, people with orange ping pong ball heads are seen playing table tennis in a field, while one of them is trapped inside a plastic box filled with flying balls. This man turns out to be Chalamet, who emerges with a shaved head wearing a 'Marty Supreme' sweatsuit and calmly strolls off the field, into a shipping container, and onto a movie junket set-up.
Chalamet then sits in silence for several minutes before looking into the camera and simply stating, "Marty Supreme is an American film that comes out on Christmas 2025." The film, directed by Josh Safdie, also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'Zion, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.
Chalamet revealed this week that he has been training to play the role of Marty Mauser, a character loosely inspired by American table tennis pioneer Marty Reisman, for several years. He started taking ping pong lessons as early as 2018, even setting up tables in various locations during the filming of other projects.
