Netanya Yemima's debut feature, "To My Dearest, My Dear...", is a time-travel drama where a father, Adam, diagnosed with cancer in 2008, uses a newfound method to journey into the future. His goal is to meet his daughter, Nadia, whom he won't live to see born. He endeavors to secure a happy future for his wife, Marsha, and Nadia.
Upon arriving when Nadia is 16, Adam discovers a fractured relationship and Marsha's impending remarriage. Adam grows closer to Nadia as they attempt to disrupt Marsha's new relationship, forging an unexpected father-daughter bond. The film delves into themes of enduring love and the passage of time.
Selected for the JAFF Future Project in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, the production team seeks investors and distributors. This heartfelt story offers a refreshing alternative to Indonesia's dominant horror genre, aiming to contribute to the evolving landscape of Indonesian cinema with its unique blend of fantasy and emotional depth.
