Tim Gunn candidly shared that he was not invited to return for the 21st season of Project Runway. Having previously left the show for "Making the Cut" with co-host Heidi Klum, Gunn believed they would both be welcomed back after an eight-year absence. His agent was reportedly told by producers that "we don't want him."
While initially devastated, Gunn has reframed the situation, expressing gratitude for his 19 seasons on the show, including 16 alongside Klum. He noted that the show's producers did extend an offer for a "small cameo in one episode," which he declined.
Gunn stated he felt "perfectly transparent" about his exclusion. He previously confirmed rumors of Klum's return without him in February of last year. He and Klum originally launched Project Runway together in 2004.
