TikToker Jake Shane Lands Hulu Series Chronicling Online Fame

As of November 2025, 26-year-old influencer Jake Shane is set to star in a new Hulu series based on his life. The series, which was announced in early November, will follow Shane and his best friends as they navigate the challenges of online fame and the strain it puts on their personal relationships.

Shane, who hosts the popular Therapuss with Jake Shane show, has seen his profile skyrocket in recent years. His show, which launched in January 2024, has already received a Webby Award for best comedy creator, and Shane was named among Forbes' top creators for 2025.

Now, Shane's journey to stardom will be the focus of an all-new 30-minute Hulu series. The show will feature Shane portraying himself, alongside his close-knit group of friends, as they grapple with the chaotic new world of internet fame and the tension it causes in their suburban neighborhood.

The series is being produced by a talented team, including Hacks writer Genevieve Aniello and Alec Berg, known for his work on Barry and Silicon Valley. Paul Briganti will direct and executive produce the untitled pilot episode.

Shane's friend and fellow influencer Sofia Richie Grainge has expressed her pride in the news, sharing the announcement on her Instagram stories. The TikToker himself has described the opportunity as a "dream come true" with the "team of [his] dreams."
