Theri Re-release: Ticket Sales Lagging Behind Giants
1 Mar
Summary
- Theri's ticket sales show surprisingly low figures compared to contemporaries.
- The film is not close to surpassing re-release giants like Ghilli.
- Theri's re-release box office performance is currently unimpressive.
The re-release of Vijay's film Theri has generated surprisingly low ticket sales, with only 11.6K tickets sold over two days. This figure falls short when compared to the enthusiastic reception of recent re-releases by other major stars.
Concerns are mounting as Theri's current pace is far from challenging the box office records set by re-release giants like Ghilli. The film, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson, follows Joseph Kuruvilla as he protects his daughter from a gang, while his past resurfaces.
Overall, while Theri remains a cherished film in Vijay's filmography, its performance at the ticket window during this re-release period is currently unimpressive, failing to ignite the expected box office frenzy.
