'Thamma' Targets Top 10 Bollywood Openers of 2025

As the Diwali 2025 release date approaches, all eyes are on the highly anticipated romantic horror-comedy 'Thamma', starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. The film, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, is set to compete with Akshay Kumar's 'Sky Force' for a spot among the top 10 Bollywood openers of 2025.

The Maddock Supernatural universe, which saw the success of 'Stree 2' in 2024, has generated immense pre-release buzz for 'Thamma'. The film's Diwali release, coupled with the only prominent competition being Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara', suggests that if the content clicks with audiences, the sky is the limit for Ayushmann and Rashmika's on-screen chemistry.

According to current box office projections, 'Thamma' is expected to open in the 15 crore+ range at the Indian box office, potentially emerging as the 8th highest opener of 2025 in Bollywood.
