Among the presented films is Ekachai Uekrongtham's "The Weight of Ash," a drama set in Bangkok during 1944, exploring themes of loss and compassion. Emerging filmmakers will showcase Thanakrit Duangmaneeporn's "So Long, Maesalong," a 1990s-set story involving village leadership and corruption, and Nuntanat Duangtisarn's "The Apocalypse of Bees," a contemporary narrative about exploitation in the art world.
Previous selections from the Thai Pitch have achieved success at major international film festivals, highlighting the initiative's role in promoting Thai cinema globally.
