Teja Sajja's Mirai Soars Past 2025 Telugu Hits Overseas
10 Oct
Summary
- Mirai is 4th highest-grossing Telugu film worldwide
- Surpassed all 2025 Telugu releases except one
- Earned 35.42 crore gross overseas, 2nd only to Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG

As of October 10th, 2025, Teja Sajja's fantasy action adventure Mirai has proven to be a resounding success at the Indian box office. The film has also made its mark globally, becoming the 4th highest-grossing Telugu movie worldwide.
Mirai's international run has been particularly impressive, as it has surpassed every single Telugu film released in 2025, except for one. The movie has concluded its overseas run with a victorious 35.42 crore gross, narrowly edging out Sankranthiki Vasthunam's 35.40 crores to emerge as the 2nd highest-grossing Telugu film of the year at the international box office. The only film that has outperformed Mirai in the global market is Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG, which has amassed 65.25 crores.
In comparison, Teja Sajja's previous release, the 2024 superhero film HanuMan, had earned an impressive 57 crore gross at the international box office. However, Mirai has fallen short of that mark by a considerable margin of 21.58 crores. Nevertheless, the fantasy action adventure continues to add to its domestic earnings, facing stiff competition from They Call Him OG and Kantara Chapter 1, but still managing to earn around 10 lakh daily.
Overall, Mirai has accumulated a worldwide gross of 146.62 crores, making it the 4th highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025, behind OG (285.75 crores), Sankranthiki Vasthunam (256.54 crores), and Game Changer (191.81 crores). While the film will miss the 150 crore club, its impressive performance, especially in the overseas market, has solidified its status as a box office success.
