The Apple TV+ spy drama "Tehran" has officially announced its return date for Season 3, scheduled for January 9. This highly anticipated season follows significant delays linked to the Hamas attacks in October 2023. Alongside the Season 3 premiere, the series has been greenlit for a fourth season, underscoring its popularity and critical success.
Niv Sultan returns as Tamar Rabinyan, a Mossad agent operating undercover in Iran. In the new season, Tamar faces the challenge of reinventing herself and regaining the support of her agency after a tumultuous Season 2 that ended with her going rogue and suffering personal losses. The narrative will explore her fight for survival and redemption.
Adding star power to "Tehran" for its third season is Hugh Laurie, who joins the cast as Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector. The ensemble also features new cast members Sasson Gabai, Phoenix Raei, and Bahar Pars, alongside returning stars Shaun Toub and Shila Ommi. The series was created by Dana Eden, Moshe Zonder, and Maor Kohn, with writing by Tony Saint and Simon Allen, and directing by Daniel Syrkin.
