The wait is almost over for Ted Lasso fans, as Season 4 is set to premiere on Apple TV on August 5. Coach Lasso is returning to the soccer pitch, taking on the role of coaching a second division women's soccer team in England. The official trailer reveals the return of fan favorites like Roy Kent, Rebecca Welton, Keeley Jones, Coach Beard, and Leslie Higgins, alongside new cast members Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsay, and Aisling Sharkey.

This new season marks a significant shift, with Ted Lasso venturing into women's soccer. This change has led to some difficult decisions regarding the cast. Several stars who played members of the men's AFC Richmond team, including Phil Dunster as Jamie Tartt, Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley, Cristo Fernández as Dani Rojas, and others, were not included in the initial Season 4 cast announcement due to scheduling conflicts or the show's new direction. Gus Turner will also not return as Ted's son, Henry, with the role recast.
