Ted was rescued in the Spring of 2013 from a dog's home located in Surrey, at approximately six months of age. He then went to live with Lisa Clark, the Executive Producer for Gone Fishing.
The beloved canine made his debut appearance on the popular BBC Two series in Series 3, episode 3, in 2020. He swiftly became a cherished figure among the show's audience. His popularity culminated when he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the Christmas special filmed in Cornwall in 2025.
