Fan theories recently emerged suggesting Taylor Swift's single 'Patient Zero' would be featured in the 2026 film adaptation of 'Verity.' These rumors gained traction due to several coinciding factors. Dakota Johnson, who appears in Swift's 'Patient Zero' music video released on September 25, also stars in 'Verity.' The music video's subject matter also mirrored the plot of 'Verity,' intensifying fan speculation.
This speculation was further fueled by the fact that Swift's music has previously been included in film adaptations of Colleen Hoover's novels, notably 'My Tears Ricochet' in 'It Ends With Us.' Swift's friendship with Dakota Johnson added another layer to the theories. Despite the strong fan interest and thematic links, 'Patient Zero' ultimately does not appear in 'Verity.' Both the music video and the film are noted as being worth experiencing independently.
