- The film will feature Woody and Buzz facing a new threat called the Lilypad.
Fan theories surrounding Taylor Swift's potential involvement in the "Toy Story 5" soundtrack have been officially dismissed. The speculation originated from a "Toy Story"-themed countdown on Swift's website, which fans believed hinted at an original song. This led to widespread discussion online.
However, "Toy Story 5" director Andrew Stanton, co-director McKenna Harris, and producer Lindsey Collins confirmed in a recent interview that Swift is not involved. They expressed surprise at the fan theories, noting they had not seen them before. Stanton clarified that the song heard during the movie's final mixing was not Swift's.
Despite the debunked rumors, the connection was understandable given Swift's previous work with The Walt Disney Company, including concert films and documentaries released on Disney+. The upcoming "Toy Story 5" is scheduled for release on June 19 and will follow Woody and Buzz dealing with a new antagonist known as the Lilypad.
