21 Apr
Summary
- Taylor Paul will continue sharing her healing process on social media.
- She was not charged in a February domestic violence incident.
- Paul is currently in a custody dispute and has PTSD.

Taylor Frankie Paul, 31, has decided to continue sharing her personal healing process on social media, directly responding to fan advice suggesting she take a break. Paul stated on her Instagram Story that she will do the opposite, explaining that making and editing videos is her method of processing, akin to writing in a journal, and she chooses to share this vulnerable experience. She noted that while many might need to step away, she is not "most people."
This approach to openness follows recent significant events in Paul's life. Production for "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" was halted earlier this year due to an alleged domestic violence incident involving Paul and her ex-partner Dakota Mortensen in February. Subsequently, her season of "The Bachelorette" was pulled by ABC. However, in April 2026, the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office announced they would not file charges against Paul following a review of submitted evidence.
Despite the resolution of the domestic violence charges, Paul remains involved in a custody battle with Mortensen. Both have filed restraining orders against each other, and Mortensen currently has custody of their 2-year-old son, Ever. Paul has been granted supervised visits for at least six hours weekly until a protective hearing later this month, when her parenting time restrictions will be reevaluated. She also shares two other children with her ex-husband Tate Paul.
Earlier on April 21, 2026, Paul openly shared her diagnosis of PTSD, which she received two years ago. She expressed the commonality of "smiling through it" and the hidden struggles people face, stating her desire to heal in order to help others.
