Hale detailed in her essay how images of her body were clipped from Big Brother live feeds and circulated without her consent. She emphasized the distinction between agreeing to be observed and having her private moments, like changing or sleeping, exploited by viewers seeking access.

She articulated that while she technically accepted the possibility of being seen, the intentional search, saving, and circulation of her images constitute exploitation. The internet's lack of distinction between offered and taken images, compounded by AI advancements, further blurs the lines of consent.

By collaborating with Playboy and choosing photographer Kanya Iwana, Hale sought to actively reclaim control over her body's narrative. She described the photoshoot and essay as a conscious act of co-creation and an exercise in active consent, asserting that her body is not public property.

Hale concluded by stating that while surveillance is a modern reality, true consent remains with the individual. She underscored her commitment to fighting for consent, hoping her actions might prompt others to reconsider their online behavior regarding personal images.
